Hebron fellowship is a gathering of Malayalam speaking Indian community who worships Lord in truth and spirit in Malayalam language at Halifax, Cape Breton, Prince Edward Island and Barrie.
Beginnings
Halifax
God laid the foundations of the fellowship in January 2021 amidst the COVID-19 crisis and pandemic. As Israel walked through the still waters of the red sea (Exodus 14:29), Lord guided the fellowship when the world stood still. Initially, a handful of believers gathered in their own apartments at Halifax and prayed for one another. Within few weeks God brought many more to these prayer cells and the numbers began to reach a level where they need a public place for the weekly fellowship. Thus, God opened the doors of St. Andrews Church in downtown Halifax for the fellowship. From then to March 2023, Hebron was gathering at 6036 Coburg Road, Halifax, NS, B3H 1Y9 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. God increased the numbers of the members. We needed a space to accommodate the needs of our kids, youth, women and men’s fellowships. Lord opened new doors for that at 6225 Summit Street Halifax, NS B3L 1R6. From April 2023 till today we are gathering on every week at this location. Pr. Charley Joseph and Family is ministering in this location.
Cape Breton
A Macedonian call was inevitable for Apostle Paul to set his sail to Macedonia (Acts 16:9). In the same way, Lord directed Hebron Fellowship to start a Malayalam worship at Cape Breton as it was the need of the hour. On 13th March 2021, Cape Breton witnessed first “Exalt music night” where multilinguistic community gathering with the urge to worship Lord and hear from His word. It lead Hebron to host a series of music nights in the following months with the partnership of other ministries at Cape Breton. This resulted in the bi-weekly Sunday morning Malayalam Worship Service at 224 York Street, Glace Bay, NS B1A 2L8 from 8:30 am to 9:45 am. God increased us in numbers. We needed a larger space to accommodate everyone. God opened the doors of 83 Reserve Street, Glace Bay, NS B1A 4W1. From September 2023 till now we are gathering here every week for our spiritual enrichment. Pr. Rinjo Rajan and Family is ministering in this location.
Prince Edward Island
Four members in Prince Edward Island and a handful of partners from Halifax started the prayer at an apartment in January 2023. Many participants joined to this prayer within few months. At the same time God opened the doors of 21 Georgetown Rd, Stratford, PE C1B 2S5. Initially we gathered there biweekly on alternative Saturdays. God multiplied us in numbers and the need for weekly prayers arise. Thus, we gather at 21 Georgetown Rd on every Saturdays. Pr. Sijo Mathew and Family is ministering in this location.
Barrie
Hebron fellowship Barrie, pastored by Asish Pulikkottil Geo, is a vibrant and welcoming community dedicated to worship and spiritual growth. What began on August 1, 2022, with just 4 people meeting at the East Bayfield Community Centre (80 Livingstone St E, Barrie, ON) has, by God’s grace, grown into a congregation of 60 committed members. As the fellowship grew, we moved to The Salvation Army (151 Lillian Crescent, Barrie, ON) on February 12, 2023, and then to our current location at Full Gospel Lighthouse (156 St. Vincent Street, Barrie, ON) as of February 4, 2024. We hold regular Sunday services and Friday Bible classes, which also include a powerful night of worship. Our fellowship is especially passionate about nurturing the next generation, with monthly youth meetings that inspire and equip young believers. As we continue to grow, we are prayerfully planning to expand our ministry with the introduction of a new service to reach and serve a broader community.
Hebron, the diaspora from Kerala, have the longingness of sincere Prayers, in-depth Bible Study and warmth of fellowship. This is where we call it Home!
