We all have a season in our lives where we can only see hopelessness and question marks. Where we come to a conclusion that nothing new can ever happen, my current situation will not change, where you feel you are stuck and frozen. But God is saying Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth;. God is going to do a new thing to your old and famished things. God is going to bring a season of spring in midst of winter. God is going to do something that Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,Nor have entered into the heart of man.
In Isaiah 61:3, (“To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified”.)
God is consoling Zion by promising He is going to give beauty for ashes. Let’s think for a moment, ashes symbolize the destruction, ashes symbolize of no hope. When you look at something that has been consumed by fire, it slowly burns and end up to ashes and its lost forever. But God is saying He is going to give beauty for ashes. Have you ever seen any beauty to the ashes. Have your felt any comfort while you see ashes. But God is boldly saying He is going to give beauty for ashes. God is going to give beauty for your broken heart, God is going to give definitions to your deep sighs in your heart, God is going to give answers to your Why’s. God is going to bring you out of that pit of ashes and is going to make you stand at his throne as a beautiful diamond 💎.
Your current situation doesn’t define yo, Your current relationship with God is what is going to define you.
May be God is using your current season of mourning to be a ray of morning sunshine among the people who haven’t seen any ray of light in their life for a while. God is going to use your losses to help you find many lost souls. God is going to use your wandering to attract many wandering souls to God.
Yes God is going to bring beauty to the ashes and he is going to anoint you with the oil of joy instead of mourning. YES ! Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.
Submit yourselves to God and let Him intercede to your soul and renew yourselves with Holy Spirit. Amen !
